This is to whom the check will be paid and will appear directly after the words "Pay to the order of."

If you want the check made out to Johnson Paint Company Inc., just type in Johnson Paint Company Inc. in the payee blank.

In the options menu, there is a default payee setting. If you always make checks or drafts out to the same source, perhaps yourself, you just fill in the default and the software will automatically enter that payee when you write a new check.

The payee can be changed easilly on screen by overwriting the default.

You can have as many payees as you wish.
